The Paul Butterfield Blues Band & East-West (2CD)

The Paul Butterfield Blues Band

£10.99

Description:
Two hugely influential albums are paired together in the Elektra 2-on-1 series. Arriving in 1965, the first album had an enormous impact on the rock scene at the time; it was a racially-mixed driving blues that rocked out, and was not merely a reverential homage to the Chicago Blues of old; it single-handedly introduced white America to contemporary Blues. “East-West” was also as groundbreaking as the debut: it fused Eastern music and Indian ragas and introduced Rock to the extended solo, so greatly influenced the birth of Psychedelic / acid rock.

As with the rest of this superb series, this album has been re-mastered from original tapes, features extensive liner notes and rare photos........in a word, essential! As with all other albums in the series, all tracks have been re-mastered and feature extensive liner notes and rarely seen photos.
