Cooking up well-known names such as Little Richard, Aretha Franklin and Wilson Pickett doing rock covers in an R&B style, Bluesmen Buddy Guy, Freddy King and Otis Rush delivering intense funky blues, a dash of cult acts like Soul Brothers Six, Don Covay and Tony Joe White covering points in between, and completed with a couple of rarities thrown into the pot (Ted Taylor and Dynamic Eight). All in all, a varied stew of Funky Blues and Rocky Soul that should have a general appeal.
